1st upgrade cgminer to 4.7.1 you can get it, if your running BU tasks by going to the boinc data directory/projects/bitcoinutopia directory and looking for one of the cgminer zip files and unzipping it to your directory you wish to run from as stand alone or going to
http://www.bitcoinutopia.net/bitcoinutopia/download/?C=M;O=D

don't need --icarus-options 115200:1:1

cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -u eyebootdaddy_1 -p 12345 --rock-freq 290

basic command.... how long shoud this run? forever unless you use --shares xxxx
or kill it off...

I have been ready it but still cannot get BOINC 7.4.27 to pull and tasks.
This is all I see:
Bitcoin Utopia: --usb :1 option for new cgminer WUs
The option is now added in all new WUs for cgminer.

cgminer-rbox_5_win32_00004.zip
job_cgminer-rbox_5_win32_00004.xml
and put them in /projects/bitcoinutopia directory
to get started?

Are my 3 xml file ok?
I created a profile under WORK to use.

Do I select CPU and GPU or should they be un-check?

if you select only the 20+ tasks to run on your miner and uncheck if no work send me whatever at the bottom (I know it not called that but I call it that) it will only send you the 20+ tasks

cc_config.xml not sure I never excluded a gpu, may work may not.

app_info.xml never used one.

if you only have 1 miner you can leave out the --usb x:y option
plus they are sending out the task with the --usb :1 anyway which will only use 1 miner
also this is only for #3, if you plan on running 4, 5, 7, 8, 9
you will need an entry for each one. you can always find that information in the client_state.xml file in the boinc data directory. just copy over the <app> to </app> and the <app_version> to </app_version>
just below the project, just search for bitcoinutopia and scroll down
into your app_config.xml file

app_config.xml

app_config>

<app>
<name>C-cgminer-rbox</name>
<max_concurrent>1</max_concurrent>
</app>

<app_version>
<app_name>C-cgminer-rbox</app_name>
<plan_class>miner_asic</plan_class>
<cmdline>--usb 4:3 --rock-freq 300</cmdline>
</app_version>

</app_config>

download your 1st 20+ task for #3

be sure to check only 20+ task for #3 on your account

'C-cgminer' refers to the 1.6+ task

<plan_class>miner_asic</plan_class>

should be ok

it's late
I may not be thinking right just now...

With this 'C-cgminer-rbox' for both

I do only have number 3 +20 selected too.

Still not working,
Entry in app_config.xml for app 'C-cgminer', plan class '' doesn't match any app versions
11/24/2014 18:57:36

cc_config

<coproc>
<type>miner_asic</type>
<count>1</count>
</coproc>

app config for the 1.6+ tasks and only the 1.6+ task on #3
on your account web page preferences you need to edit and check/uncheck the boxed for the app/task you want and don't want. then set the app config xml accordingly..

<app_config>

<app>
<name>C-cgminer</name>
</app>

<app_version>
<app_name>C-cgminer</app_name>
<plan_class>miner_asic</plan_class>
<coproc>
<type>miner_asic</type>
<count>1.000000</count>
</coproc>
</app_version>

</app_config>

Do not get too confused by running everything that you find. Just keep it simple.
For a user with one R-box 100 this is all you need and should get you going.

1. Create a cc_config.xml as suggested in the FAQ and make sure you are running the latest version of BOINC.

2. Create an account with Bitcoin Utopia project in Boinc manager.

3. Log into your account and select: "Project preferences"

4. Select: Run GPU and CPU and one 20+ application for your choice of campaigns, like #3, 4 or 5 at the present time.

4.Save your selection and restart the computer.

Job done, nothing else is needed, no app_info, no app_config is necessary unless you have something special in mind and are running a number of ASICs or you want to overclock in which case you should study first what speed you should run it without damage or loss of data hence output.

If I am wrong, I apologize for this is the simplest solution I could find to run the ASIC Rockminer 100 NEW with BOINC.

Well Guess What?
I remove all the files and put only a cc_config.xml in the below folders (Not Sure Where It Really Needs To Go)
C:\Program Files\BOINC
C:\ProgramData\BOINC
C:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects\www.bitcoinutopia.net_bitcoinutopia ONLT HERE IT WILL NOT WORK!!!

And I am Running on BOINC Manager 7.4.27 (x64)

Thank you Cruncher Pete [BlackOpsTeam]

crunchForCoin. This is the contents of my cc_config.xml located in C:/ProgramData/BOINC:

<cc_config>

<options>

<coproc>
<type>miner_asic</type>
<count>4</count>
<peak_flops>0.000000</peak_flops>
<device_nums>0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7</device_nums>
</coproc>

<ncpus>12</ncpus>
<use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus>
<report_results_immediately>1</report_results_immediately>
</options>
</cc_config>

I do not have an app_config.xml and I do not wish to overclock. I have selected in my Bitcoin Utopia Account Preferences to run CPU, GPU and the 20+ GHz/s app for Campaign # 5 and it is working my Rockminer 100NEW ASIC fine. Everything else you need is supplied by the project and will be downloaded to your Project Directory. In my case: C:/ProgramData/BOINC/Project/www.bitcoinutopia/bitcoinutopia.

Do not forget that you need to shut down and restart after you added the cc_config.
